About me
Amanda Morgenstern earned her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Colorado College and her PhD in Chemistry from Colorado School of Mines. She then completed a postdoctoral appointment at Los Alamos National Lab performing actinide research. She is currently an assistant professor at UCCS teaching physical chemistry courses and performing computational chemistry research. Current research projects include improving drug design methods using the quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM), incorporating electric fields in the enzyme design process, and modeling in droplet and collision induced in source fragmentation from electrospray ionization.
