About me
Dr. Christine Hermann is a Department chair and professor of Chemistry at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. During her forty years at Radford University, she has involved many undergraduates in various research projects. Her current research centers around developing creative laboratory experiments for the Organic Chemistry laboratory.
As author of “The Systematic Identification of Organic Chemistry”, published by Wiley, she incorporated student-run spectra with detailed explanations of the spectra, along with the traditional methods of identifying a chemical compound.
Dr. Hermann earned a PhD and MS in chemistry from Virginia Tech and a BS in chemistry from Columbus State University. As a private pilot, she flies her Cessna 140 over the mountainous breath-taking views of southwest Virginia.
