About me
Steven Gaskill has taught middle school science and engineering design at Knudson Academy of the Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada for twelve years. He was named one of two Nevada state finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teacher in 2022, and was named a Master Teacher of Invention and Intellectual Property by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In 2023, his students were national finalists in the Samsung Solve for Tomorow engineering design contest. In the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, his students have won first place in the American Society for Microbiology's international Agar Art contest. He is currently overseeing a multiyear watermelon genetics investigation using the Knudson Academy of the Arts garden.
