Dr. Bice is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, specializing in STEM Education, at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He is passionate about rural STEM education, particularly chemistry education. His research interests include the following: inquiry-based instruction, assessment, equity, place-based education, misconceptions in science, and generative A.I. use in the classroom. Having taught high school chemistry for 15 years, Dr. Bice understands what it's like to balance coaching, teaching, lab prep, assessment, and family life. He credits his experience at ChemEd in 2017 as motivation to pursue a doctorate in chemistry education.
