Nina Hike has dedicated over 28 years to teaching science in Chicago Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A leader in the chemistry education community, Nina is a contributor to
ChemEdX, where she shares insights on culturally relevant and socially just science teaching. She has been a guest on the
Unpacking Everything Podcast. Nina teaches at George Westinghouse College Prep and was honored as a 2021 Illinois Awardee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (
PAEMST).
